Same here: I'd have loved that. Knives and scissors are tabou until you send a penny / cent along for the recipient to give to you as a "purchasing price".
And since you were asking, I live south of Stuttgart, between the airport and the Albkante. I can see the Burg Hohenneuffen from my garden.
I think it is beautiful! I love your piecing too!!
I find blue & white to be very clean & crisp & appreciated by a wide variety of non-quilters.
So I think you have a nice start on a gift quilt!
